The above art is by myself, K.Lee Kain, Triangular Boy, and Iain Danvers in order.
From beyond space and time, at the border between realities where our world, and theirs, grows weakest, the old ones wait to take back this puny planet and rule forever on a throne of suffering and madness!
But while you’re waiting for that to happen, I thought you guys might want to check out a project that i’m working on with heaps of amazing illustrators and artists! It’s a book of art inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft, one of the most influential horror authors of all time. It’s named “Three-Lobed Burning Eye”, after a particularly striking phrase from one of Lovecraft’s stories, “The Haunter In The Dark”. The book will feature 45 artists, illustrators and creative types, each tackling their own personal vision and experience with H.P. Lovecraft.
I’m hoping to debut the book at the “Toronto Comics and Arts Festival” on May 11th and 12th of next year. It’s still in early stages, but i may be looking into a Kickstarter down the road to put everything together.
Up above, you can see the tentative cover art, and a small collection of some of the work that’s been submitted so far. Below is the list of contributors that have confirmed their position in the zine, while I wait to hear the last few artists.
And a few more i’m waiting on confirmation from! I’ll keep you updated on this blog as we hopefully assemble the zine and try and get a table at TCAF. Thanks so much for your interest!
Follow and promote this zine for updates as soon as they happen!
I’m going to be a part of this badass Lovecraft zine that my friend Trevor Henderson is putting together. Check out the list of contributing artists, some pretty stellar names!!
